Sherri Youngward – Scripture Songs

poster coverAnother amazing collection of songs by Sherri.  I love how the production turned out. It was a great time working a day in the Barn with Zach Hodges on the song ‘Heaven’.  It’s hard to pick my favorite song on this CD.  The best thing about these recordings is you find yourself singing these songs that are God’s lyrics, the Word.

Scott Cunningham – ‘Til The Whole World Hears’

’Til The Whole World Hears’ Produced here in the Barn. Such a blessing to play a part in this songs from one of my favorite songwriters.  My favorite songs right now from this CD are ‘Shelter’ and ’Expectation’.

Dianna Waddell – Words Of Your Melody

Words of Your Melody

We met Dianna at the School Of Worship Summit 2007 at the Barn behind the house. Dianna asked at the worship conference a few weeks later if I would be able to help her record. I said I’d love to. Dianna has a heart for missions and for Africa. She said I wanna make a CD that will pay for a short term missions trip to Africa. Having heard her sing and being completely knocked out I said you record and start playing and you will be going more often than once to Africa. Her record is not out yet but very soon. She’s already taken her trip to Africa and I believe the Lord has sweet things ahead for her. Dianna’s record I believe is a timeless collection of songs that are all over the map of genre and soak in an sea of soul that is at peace in Him.

Scott Cunningham – Grace Amazing

Grace Amazing

Scott Cunningham of my favorite people, song writer’s and is a brother to me. Scott has written so many amazing worship songs that are played in and out of churches all over the world. I am stoked to have been a part of the life of these great songs and a part of Scott’s life. Scott is a Dad of 5 girls along with his wife Meagan and heads up the School Of Worship at Calvary Chapel Costa Mesa. Some of my favorite moments of the Grace Amazing CD is the song My Soul Thirst. I love how it pushes out of the gate into the 12 string line and how it finds it self floating through the bridge all the way to the coda where Taylre Nelson sings a sweet wonderful amazing grace at the end. Love It.

James and Rebecca Caggegi – Better Than Life

Better Than Life

This record is on itunes.

This record is one of my favorites. That sounds weird because I produced it with Brian Steckler but it’s true. This cd gets brought on many long drives and still contains some of my favorite worship songs and lyrics. I think this was the first record I produced that was not my own as a Christian. The song ‘Better Than Life’ is dedicated to James and Rebecca’s daughter who the Lord brought home late in Rebecca’s pregnancy. That track still chokes me up and the line up of songs still takes me away into His presence.

Sherri Youngward – These Things Don’t Change – 2007

These Things Don't Change

I remember and will never forget the day Sherri pulled her little journal out when I asked her what she had for songs. She grabbed her Gibson and played ‘I love how’. I really didn’t know how to respond, as I looked behind her through the control room window at the tall hundred year old pines trees. Then I asked myself Lord how is it that I get to record this song. I then picked my jaw off the ground and then trying to act not to moved asked her to play another one. I think she played Draw Me Near. At that point I needed Coffee or food an excuse to stop and knew at that moment I was in for it. Some of my favorite recorded moments I’ve had the privilege of being a part of, are captured on this cd. Our family has fallen in love with Sherri, who she is and how our Savior Jesus shines through her.

Sherri Youngward – Peace – 2007

Peace Single

This song is a favorite among so many folks and the life of this song has gone deep to comfort so many lives who have suffered pain of all kind from lost of a loved one to cancer. During the ‘These Things Don’t Change’ sessions we talked about recording Peace with just voice guitar and orchestra.

Brooks Brewer – Road Trip

Road Trip

www.brooksbrewer.com

This was the first record we made in the Barn. Recording Brooks was a true joy and I love the fact that the Lord gave us lots of snow at those winter sessions. We even wrote a song about the winter snow that made it on the record. I met Brooks through the Willer and Coomler family. He is the worship leader for the PBRO (Professional Bull Rider’s Outreach). At the big events the pastor and some riders on the tour hold church services and they really pack out and thousands have made commitments to the Lord Jesus Christ at these event. The most recent event at the PBR finals in Las Vegas the passed out 15,000 dvds of pro bull riders who share there testimonies and how they came to Christ and there is an invitation on it. Brooks, his wife Stephanie, Todd Pierce and Cody Custer and many of these riders are the real deal and are charging it for Jesus. I love this record and Brooks voice and the anointing on his life shines through. So, many cool God stories surrounding this one. I’d much rather hear him sing Beautiful Savior than me ;-) I’ll just play the guitar Brooks!
